It is also worn for wedding ceremonies and other special occasions. During the olden days, the Baju Melayu consist of only one color but now, Baju Melayu have lots of interesting designs. Some of them have batik designs . It is worn with a songkok, samping, or tengkolok. Some even try to match the color of the Baju Melayu to the color of the songkok and samping .
